A News & Observer columnist is among those on a BPW/Raleigh panel discussing career, day-to-day, and industry trends for women today. Entitled Business Trends for Women in the Triangle, the panel takes place Tuesday, Sept. 27. Panelists include: Ruth Sheehan; News & Observer, Maryanne Perrin and Kella Hatcher; Balancing Professionals.
Ruth Sheehan has been a metro columnist for The News & Observer in Raleigh, N.C. for five years. Having had covered a wide range of topics, state and local, Ruth joins the discussion to share her view of business trends in our area. Kella Hatcher and Maryanne Perrin, founders of Balancing Professionals, take the issue of work-life balance from the policy stage to the streets. Kella and Maryanne have personally experienced the work-life dilemma; having had moved between states of full-time professional to full-time at-home to part-time professional. They join the discussion to share their experience of connecting progressive employers with an “under-tapped” pool of highly talented professionals in alternative work arrangements.
