Former BPW/Raleigh President Flora T Cobb Flora Cobb, 93, died Friday, April 27, 2007 while in residence at Mayview Convalescent Center. Mrs. Cobb began her career in Hamlet as a teenager working for Mr. John Belk as he was growing his department store chain. She worked as Office Manager, John Deere Company, regional distribution facility, from 1937 until her retirement in 1976. She was active in business and civic affairs, serving as president of the Raleigh Business and Professional Women's Club and the League of Women Voters.
