Gallery Nina Szlosberg-Landis Nina Szlosberg-Landis, Member of the NC Board of Transportation, President of the Conservation Council of NC and Chair of the Hillsborough Street Partnership, was the featured guest speaker at the February BPW/Raleigh dinner meeting. History meets Halloween under Full Moon in Raleigh Under a full Halloween moon, BPW/Raleigh toured the Confederate Cemetery at Historic Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh. Lantern Ladies guided us through the cemetery as we were introduced to some of the lost souls in residence.

Green is Easier than You Think!" A brighter future for the environment and economy in North Carolina NC GreenPower NC
GreenPower is an independent, nonprofit organization established to
improve North Carolina’s environment through voluntary contributions
toward renewable energy and carbon offsets. A landmark initiative
approved by the N.C. Utilities Commission, NC GreenPower is the first
statewide green energy program in the nation supported by all the
state’s utilities and administered by
Advanced Energy, an independent nonprofit corporation located in
Raleigh, N.C. The goal of NC GreenPower is two-fold: to supplement the
state’s existing power supply with more green energy – electricity
generated from renewable resources like the sun, wind and organic matter
– and to support greenhouse gas mitigation through a carbon offset
