Environmentalist Nina Szlosberg-Landis to Present at BPW/Raleigh February Dinner Meeting 

Nina Szlosberg-Landis, Member of the NC Board of Transportation, President of the Conservation Council of NC and Chair of the Hillsborough Street Partnership, will be the featured guest speaker at the February BPW/Raleigh dinner meeting. Speaking on the topic of “Transportation, environment and community building – tools for a better tomorrow”, Ms. Szlosberg-Landis will talk about how business, government and the civic realm can work together to transform communities.

 "We are excited to hear from Ms. Szlosberg-Landis”, said Anita Baxter, president of BPW/Raleigh.  “Ms. Szlosberg-Landis is a leader in our area who has made an impact and plays an integral part in shaping and changing our community. We look forward to hearing how North Carolina businesses can contribute to making our community better.”

The dinner meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 23, at Brier Creek Country Club, Raleigh.  Networking begins at 5:30pm, dinner at 6:15pm.  BPW Member fee: $30; Non-member fee: $40.  Call 919-899-5043 or visit www.bpwraleigh.org to make a reservation.

 

About Nina Szlosberg-Landis

Nina Szlosberg-Landis, a Raleigh resident, is an at-large member of the NC Board of Transportation representing environmental issues. She is president of the Conservation Council of North Carolina and serves on the Triangle Transit Authority Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Hillsborough Street Partnership, which is working to improve the historic Hillsborough Street area in Raleigh and promote smart growth along this corridor.
