Dinner with Joan Darling - Pioneering Director of TV and Film
Attend Business & Professional Women's October dinner meeting and spend the evening with Joan Darling; one of the pioneering woman directors in America.
Ms. Darling worked regularly in mainstream Hollywood in the 1970s and 1980s; having directed popular TV shows such as M*A*S*H*, MARY TYLER MOORE, TAXI, and MAGNUM P.I.. When TV Guide named the 100 best television episodes, "Chuckles Bites the Dust”, a MARY TYLER MOORE episode directed by Ms Darling, was chosen as #1. Joan Darling was nominated four times for an Emmy and twice for a Directors Guild of America award; winning one Emmy and one DGA award.
Ms. Darling’s keynote will come as BPW celebrates National Business Women's Week – providing an opportunity to call attention to women entrepreneurs, facilitate discussions on the needs of working women, share information about successful workplace policies, and raise awareness of the resources available for working women in their communities.
We are honored to have Ms. Darling share her story with the women and men who attend this dinner meeting – inspiring us all to dare to achieve; to build our skill-sets and make the connections needed to succeed in any career we choose.
