Feminist movements, around the world, have helped to bring about significant social change. Feminists have analyzed the role of power and named the ways that women face unique challenges in their many roles as workers, mothers, caregivers and leaders. This talk explores the dynamic ways that contemporary feminists are building on this legacy. I will highlight the creative ways they use popular culture and the public sphere to shape a new story of gender, racial and sexual equity.
