2011 NCTech4Good Conference April 15-16

The second annual NCTech4Good Conference, Technology Solutions for Nonprofits, is a two-day meeting that offers information, networking and social activities to staff, consultants and volunteers of North Carolina nonprofit and social service organizations, plus small businesses.

The meeting consists of a general opening session; three concurrent presentations at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels on "tools, emerging technologies and solutions"; exhibits of related products and services; a luncheon; and an early evening reception.

An "unconference" the following day will give participants an opportunity to "continue the conversation" by exploring topics not fully developed during the conference, plus others of mutual interest. This informal setting is characterized by small break-out groups using the latest technology for collaborative discussions.

The unconference includes a casual lunch, plus an assortment of snacks and beverages available throughout the day.

The NCTech4Good Conference will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011, at the William & Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education. The informal "unconference" will be held on Saturday, April 16, at Duke University's HASTAC (pronounced "haystack").

The Friday Center for Continuing Education is across from Meadowmont Village in Chapel Hill at 100 Friday Center Drive, off NC Highway 54 East. HASTAC is at the John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute, 114 South Buchanan Boulevard (Bay 4) in downtown Durham.

The cost of the conference is $75 through April 1, and the unconference is $10. For complete information and registration forms, please visit our Website at www.nctech4good.org. (Potential sponsors may also use the registration forms to indicate the sessions and conference features they'd like to underwrite.)
